Engineering Department

Administers county highway and bridge planning, design, and construction program, and consults with districts regarding maintenance and drainage projects. Also review subdivision plans, administrator of flood ordinance, order and erect county roadway signs, prepare annual bids. Design bid specifications for highway and bridge projects for the county. Review highway and bridge plans, location, contracts, and cost estimates for technical accuracy. Plan construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects. Inspect construction sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans specifications, and construction and safety standards. Inspects county roads and bridges.
