History

The Marshall County Bookmobile has been in existence since 1974. Libraries are the heart of every community. Bookmobiles help communities to thrive. Our bookmobile brings valuable resources to our patrons. The bookmobile serves people of all backgrounds, providing access to almost every service that patrons find in library branches. Our bookmobile services all assisted living facilities, retirement communities, Head Starts, Child Development Centers, Even Start Program and various other rural stops in Marshall County. The current bookmobile was purchased in 2002. The Cooperative is made up of the following public libraries: Albertville, Arab, Guntersville, Boaz, Grant and the Marshall County Bookmobile. The Bookmobile is located at 19348 Hwy. 431 North in Guntersville at the County Park 1.
